Gridcensus

Project lead feed

Every morning GridCensus re-reads the seven ISO interconnection queues, EIA's monthly planned-generator inventory (EIA-860M), Epoch AI's list of AI datacenter campuses and the ISOs' transmission plans, and lists what is new or changed: who is asking the grid for what, where, at what size, and which utility serves it. Sponsors are the companies the source names (ERCOT and NYISO name the developer; PJM, MISO and SPP do not). Queue locations are the county the request names. All public records, no CEII.

Sources: ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO and ISO-NE public queue postings (via the open-source gridstatus library); U.S. EIA Form EIA-860M; ISO transmission plans; Epoch AI Frontier Data Centers (CC-BY 4.0). “On-site / captive” means a commercial or industrial owner, or a plant or owner name that points at a datacenter developer — a name match, not a confirmed load. API: /api/v1/feed (Enterprise). See sources.
